Service Technician, Mechanic, Diesel, Agricultural (Klamath Falls)

Pelican Tractor Company (Platt Equipment Company, Inc.) is seeking an enthusiastic and trustworthy Technician to join our family-owned Kubota, LandPride, Great Plains, and Vermeer dealership in Klamath Falls. We are looking for a skilled professional with experience to diagnose, repair, and service agricultural and construction equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

 

– Production (75%): Efficiently complete repair orders, manage documentation, and meet productivity goals. Assist fellow technicians and provide product feedback regarding quality and warranty.

– Safety & Environment (25%): Maintain an organized, hazard-free workspace and comply with all safety and regulatory policies.

– Customer Care: Communicate effectively with customers, provide equipment orientations, and demonstrate safety basics.

– Operations: Identify correct parts, manage work order paperwork, and assist with inventory and dealership events.

 

Requirements:

 

– Proficiency with hand and specialty tools.

– Ability to use computer programs for training, certifications, and part identification.

– Physical ability to lift 50–75 lbs.

– A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record; a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required for field service trucks.

– Forklift certification (or the ability to obtain one).

– Mobile service experience is a plus.

 

* Preference will be given to candidates with CDLs and formal mechanical accreditation—ASE or otherwise.
